I have three dogs that use a doggie door, and I rely on this Roomba almost daily to clean up the mess they make. It’s a basic model, and while I haven’t tried the wireless feature, I don’t see the need to. What I really appreciate is having a robotic vacuum—technology truly is amazing!
There are a few minor drawbacks: it could be quieter, it sometimes misses dirt, and I find cleaning it a bit tedious. For instance, when I spilled flour on the floor, it couldn’t pick it up no matter how many times I guided it back. Occasionally, it gets stuck in places like under the sofa, between table legs, on the piano pedals, and in a couple of spots under the cabinets, although this doesn’t happen every time.
Emptying the dust compartment can be messy, and detangling threads and hair from the rollers requires scissors and a pry tool, which is time-consuming. So, don’t get rid of your broom and dustpan just yet; you’ll need them for the spots it misses. Right now, it’s cleaning under the sofa I’m sitting on and managed to navigate out again, heading towards the table as I write this without getting stuck. It even finds things like the back of my remote control and gives a little chirp as it scoots things around to let you know it’s found something.
It has a lot of power; I’ve seen it climbing onto my piano pedals, diligently trying to clean them. I also have an older basic model that still works, and yes, I run both simultaneously. The older one isn’t as effective or powerful. A few days ago, I noticed that the bristles on the edge cleaner brush were worn down and the wheel was damaged. Fortunately, I found replacement parts available for same-day Prime delivery at a very low cost, making it an easy fix. Overall, this Roomba is excellent for its price point—I spent twice as much on my first model about seven years ago.

This is my fourth Roomba, and I bought my first one 17 years ago. I’m really impressed by the improvements in noise and design over the years. This model glides easily under furniture, operates much quieter, and is powerful while being more affordable than my first. Running it daily picks up tons of dust and pet hair, which saves me from having to sweep every day. Now I only need to sweep once or twice a week when I mop. I considered getting the mopping feature, but I was worried my dog would track through and leave paw prints. Overall, I’m very satisfied and feel that the $150 was well spent!

I’ve been wanting an automatic vacuum for a while, but I was unsure about its cleaning effectiveness. Right out of the box, despite not being fully charged (I recommend charging it for the full 3 hours as suggested), it performed impressively. The photos show the dirt bin filled after two consecutive days of use, so it’s definitely doing its job.
I’m still figuring out how to set boundaries with this model, and currently, it seems a bit erratic in its cleaning pattern, missing some dirt as it moves from area to area. I’ll update my review once I’ve mastered the settings! So far, I’m pleased with my purchase. If you prefer not to empty the bin every day or two, consider getting the self-emptying model. I opted for the basic version to test its worth.
As a professional cleaner, I have high standards, and this vacuum has met my expectations. Its “sweeper legs” do a decent job getting into corners and under counters, although it occasionally misses spots. However, I find myself emptying the bin quite often, which shows it’s effective. It’s definitely making my life easier! We’ve named ours Dusty.
It’s relatively quiet, but if you’re on a call, it’s better to move to another room, as it can be a bit distracting. I have it scheduled to start every day at noon, and like clockwork, Dusty gets to work!
Setting up the app was a breeze, and I’m still learning how to customize it better. The only hiccup so far is that it sometimes gets stuck on my thicker rugs. One rug triggers an error saying it can’t move, while another claims it’s near a cliff (it’s not that high, just higher than my hardwood floors!). I can easily move it and restart, but it could be frustrating if I weren’t home. I’m not sure what I could do through the app yet, but I’ll figure it out.
Also, be sure to pick up any cords and relocate any sticky traps, as the little sweeper legs have gotten caught on mine, and I had to remove them.
Overall, I’m really enjoying my automatic vacuum and recommend this product. I’ll try to update my review after using it for a bit longer!

I’ve had my iRobot Roomba for about a year, and while it excels at cleaning—particularly in managing pet hair and daily maintenance—I am somewhat disappointed that the brush broke after just one year of use. It functioned perfectly for the first several months, and both the suction and navigation are still impressive, but the side brush snapped off, which hinders its effectiveness in corners and along edges.
Replacing the brush adds an extra expense, and it’s frustrating that such an essential component deteriorated so quickly. Nevertheless, the Roomba continues to perform well overall, and I appreciate how it keeps my floors clean with minimal effort on my part.
If you’re okay with occasionally replacing brushes, the Roomba is a fantastic tool. Just be aware that some parts may not last as long as you’d hope, especially with regular use.

I am truly impressed with this Roomba. We have a large basement with multiple hardwood-floored rooms and one carpeted room. After opening the necessary doors, it took off without a hitch. It’s surprisingly quiet, though the noise level does increase depending on the setting. I usually run it on medium, and it effectively cleans the entire area—about 1200 sq ft—on a single charge. While it does take some time, it’s persistent and often revisits spots I thought it had missed. I observed it closely, and it covered every inch. It effortlessly navigates areas with half-inch height differences. I’m very pleased with its performance.

I recently bought the iRobot Roomba 694 robot vacuum, and it has truly surpassed my expectations regarding both price and quality. For the price, it delivers outstanding performance, effectively picking up dust and debris all around the house. It’s user-friendly and simple to set up, and the app control feature adds an extra layer of convenience. Absolutely worth the investment!

This product does exactly what I wanted: it saves me time on cleaning. It leaves the floor quite clean, and for the past three weeks, I’ve only had to sweep occasionally, even with a Chihuahua and a German Shepherd in the house. A couple of things to keep in mind: the front rotating brush needs to be checked each time you use it, as it can get tangled with long hair and may jam, but it’s easy to clean. The vacuum’s power and the size of the brushes allow it to pick up long and flexible objects like dog collars and phone charger cables, which can cause blockages. Additionally, the main wheels can roll over items that may initially seem harmless, so it’s important to clear the floor thoroughly—essentially, if you could sweep it, remove it. Also, since this model cleans randomly, it’s more efficient in smaller spaces, so defining areas helps; for instance, my approximate areas are: kitchen (12 m²), dining + living + entry (55 m²), hallway (12 m²), and bedrooms (24 m²). Considering that sweeping by hand is time-consuming, tiring, and makes me sweat, I highly recommend this product.

User-friendly. The app is also very simple to navigate and performs well in vacuuming.
