    1. Diann

I previously owned a Kenmore canister vacuum and loved it, but after more than 20 years, it started to wear out. I tried a couple of cordless vacuums, which were decent, but they didn’t clean as effectively as I wanted. So, I decided to return to the Kenmore canister vacuum, and I was amazed by the improvements. I appreciate that the power switch is conveniently located on the handle and that all the tools are easily accessible. The suction on this purple vacuum is incredible. You can adjust the suction level right from the handle, which is necessary when vacuuming rugs. The power is so strong that it almost pulls the handle from my grip. My home feels significantly cleaner now, and I hope to have this vacuum for another 20 years.

    2. D. Myers

I have been a loyal supporter of Kenmore products for 50 years, as has my family. So, when my previous Kenmore canister vacuum finally gave out after years of heavy use (thanks to teenagers and a dog), I naturally chose to replace it with the same model. The new vacuum arrived quickly, and I was excited to put it to work. It performed wonderfully on hardwood floors and area rugs, boasting impressive suction power for pet hair. I was very pleased—until, after just one month of use, the hose detached from the canister in an unexpected way. When I tried to reattach it and turned it on, sparks flew. It was alarming! Amazon handled the return smoothly and sent a replacement. However, two months later, the exact same issue occurred with the new vacuum. My husband tried to carefully put it back together, but once again, sparks flew. This is clearly dangerous!

Upon checking my Amazon account for the next steps, I learned that they only process one return per item. I was directed to Kenmore for further assistance. They informed me that instead of a replacement, they would send a new part, which is currently out of stock and backordered. Interestingly, the part they are sending is meant for a different model, though they assured me it would fit mine—it might just be a different color. They indicated that it could be a month before I receive it, and if it doesn’t arrive by then, I should call back. Meanwhile, my home is filled with pet hair from my shedding Labrador. I inquired about getting a complete replacement, but I was told that the vacuum itself is also backordered. Thus, I have to wait for the part, and if it doesn’t arrive, they will decide how to proceed. This situation is extremely frustrating. I can’t give the vacuum a positive review since both units failed in the same way, indicating a possible defect in the product. My experience with Kenmore’s customer service has also been disappointing.

I returned to check for any responses from Amazon or Kenmore regarding my review, but I found none. While browsing other negative reviews, I noticed that many others reported the same issues with the hose connection and sparks. I wish I had read those reviews beforehand! I’ve been a Kenmore user for over 50 years, trusting their products without hesitation. This has been a regrettable oversight.

The new hose part finally arrived about a week or so ago, but due to illness, I couldn’t test it right away. I tried it today, and to my dismay, the new part doesn’t work at all. It looks identical to the part that failed. Although the representative informed me that the replacement wouldn’t be the exact one for my model, I assumed it would still be compatible. Clearly, that is not the case! Now, I’m unsure who to contact for help. I’m now six months past my original purchase, and I fear that when I reach customer service, they will tell me that I’m beyond the warranty period. Is my $348.15 investment down the drain? I will provide an update after contacting customer service, but at this point, it’s clear that another new machine won’t fix the issue, as this model appears to be defective.

I purchased “The Purple One” for my mom, and she couldn’t be happier with her new vacuum! The attachments are super easy to swap out, and the suction can be adjusted to a gentler setting, perfect for delicate items like curtains and blinds. This model features a longer hose and an easy-pivot wheel at the front, making it a breeze to maneuver. It comes with a wide range of useful attachments. Although she doesn’t have pets, the pet attachment with a power nozzle will make cleaning furniture and upholstery a cinch. The adjustable wand extends quite far, allowing for vacuuming in high places or along walls. Plus, it has a longer hose and cord than most other vacuums. After researching extensively on various sites, my mom chose this one, and it truly offers great value. Parts and replacement bags appear to be easily accessible as well. If you’re in the market for a canister vacuum, this is definitely worth considering!

    4. Debbie G.

I’ve seen some less favorable reviews about this vacuum, and it seems those users may have received defective units. Fortunately, we are THRILLED with our new powered head vacuum featuring HEPA filtration, which is a significant upgrade from our 23-year-old Kenmore that finally gave out last year. We tried a Miele for about a year, which was decent on hardwood but didn’t perform well on carpets. During Prime Day, we decided to go back to Kenmore, and it did not let us down! It feels like it tackled a year’s worth of dirt that the Miele missed on its first use (yikes!).

      Pros:

      • Incredible cleaning power and suction
      • Extendable handle (great for taller users, compact for storage)
      • Excellent attachments (still need to try the pet one)
      • Four cleaning levels with smooth transitions on hardwood
      • Self-propelled, making it easy to maneuver
      • Long cord for extended reach
      • Canister rolls easily on the floor
      • Simple bag changes
      • Replacement bags are affordable (less than seven for a pack of six on Amazon), and you can use generic options if preferred

      Cons:

      • Compared to the Miele, I have none!
      • The canister might feel a bit bulky for some, but if you can lift more than 5 lbs with one hand, it’s not an issue (totally worth it for the cleaning quality!)

Here’s hoping we can enjoy another 20+ years with this vacuum!

    5. Diann

I recently upgraded from my 24-year-old Kenmore canister vacuum to this model, and I’m impressed. The build quality feels sturdy, and it’s noticeably quieter and lighter than my previous vacuum. I appreciate the adjustable suction feature, which allows me to switch from powerful cleaning to a gentler setting for my small area rugs. The telescopic wand is a great addition, making it easy for my 6-foot tall husband to vacuum without bending over. The vacuum comes with a variety of accessories that conveniently store inside the canister. Plus, I can still use my 10-pack of 5055 (Q/C) vacuum bags from the old machine, so there’s no waste. Overall, I’m really enjoying the upgraded features, lighter weight, and the lovely purple color of this vacuum. I highly recommend the Kenmore 600 series pop-n-go vacuum!

    6. JFO

This compact vacuum has impressive suction, which is definitely its standout feature. I currently own three of them because I like them so much. It’s also lightweight and easy to handle.

I rated it a 4 because the bags are a bit too large for the canister, as if Kenmore is trying to make “one size fits all” bags. While two of the three attachments are quite good, the large floor brush feels cheaply made. I recommend saving any attachments from your old Kenmore vacuums, as they will fit this new model.

*** PS: I initially bought the 200 series, which also has strong suction, but the on/off switch is on the canister instead of the handle, and there’s no place to store the attachments. I later got the BC3005 and absolutely love it. The power switch is conveniently located on the handle, and it comes with an attachment for holding the accessories on the wand. Just be cautious when ordering, as the differences aren’t very obvious, but the extra cost is worth it.

    7. fab4gal

I purchased the purple pet vacuum, and while I appreciate having all the accessories on board, it’s quite heavy and cumbersome. Unfortunately, the pet attachment broke after minimal use. The excess plastic design makes it difficult to quickly switch out the brush for corner cleaning; instead, I need to reattach a different brush since the telescopic wand is so large. The suction is decent, but the brush is overly powerful and often gets stuck on regular flat carpets, requiring a reset. Vacuuming is already a chore for me, and this machine only adds to the frustration. I’m left with it for at least another year, which is tough considering how quickly most products tend to fail. On the plus side, at least we don’t have to keep our appliances for decades anymore, as they rarely last that long anyway. I can’t help but wonder if the designers of these vacuums have ever actually used one themselves.

    8. jourdan

This vacuum is absolutely amazing! I was really in need of an upgrade from my old, budget upright vacuum that was on its last legs. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a Miele or Sebo, so I decided to try this canister vacuum instead. I’m so glad I did! For the price, it’s unbeatable. All the tools are easy to store, and the suction power is impressive. You can turn the vacuum on and off and adjust the suction strength directly from the wand. The wand itself is adjustable, making it simple to reach corners and clean high areas effortlessly. The main attachment works excellently on both hardwood floors and carpets. Plus, its low-profile design allows for easy cleaning under couches and furniture. The only minor drawback is that it can feel a bit cumbersome at times, but I believe that’s a small trade-off for the great functionality it provides. Overall, this vacuum is fantastic and delivers at least 95% of what a much more expensive model offers, all at a fraction of the cost.

    9. Benutzer2013

I bought the Kenmore 600 Series Canister Vacuum Cleaner in July, and I like to use a product for a while before sharing my thoughts. This way, I can ensure it performs well and doesn’t let me down after a few weeks or a month.

I absolutely love this vacuum! I’ve always preferred canister vacuums over uprights, and I have a good track record with the Kenmore brand. The suction power is amazing. One feature I particularly enjoy is the adjustable suction slider; it allows me to decrease the suction when I’m about to vacuum up something delicate, which is especially helpful for small area rugs.

The vacuum comes with onboard attachments that are easy to access with a foot pedal, and it even has a little light that turns on when you open the compartment. It includes a solid beater bar for carpets, and you can switch it out for a floor attachment if needed. The extended wand is great for reaching high places, too. Plus, the purple color is stunning—it’s a joy to use and I try to take good care of it because of how beautiful it looks!

I also appreciate the HEPA filter and, conveniently, the bags from my previous Kenmore vacuum (the Elegance in Spring Green) fit in this model. I’m sure I’m leaving some details out, but that’s what I wanted to share. I highly recommend this vacuum!

    10. selin O

Sturdy construction with impressive speed thanks to the dual motor system. The suction power is outstanding. While it may be a bit pricey, I’m pleased with the long cord. It’s definitely on the heavier side. Overall, it performs very well.

    11. TopNotchReviewer

This vacuum cleaner is not intended for the European market as it is designed for 120 volts. It’s quite questionable why it is being sold on amazon.de in Germany. I could have understood it being listed on amazon.us. The mention of 120 volts could have been a typographical error, but there are also other vacuum cleaners with 800 volts, which raises the question of where they are supposed to be connected! Thank you, amazon.de, for the extra trip to the post office with 11.5 kilos. The seller gets 1 star.
