This robot is fantastic! I purchased it during Thanksgiving for just $599, which is a steal compared to other major brands. I believe it’s just as good, if not better, than the competition. I chose the black model, and it looks great next to my sofa. It has a variety of functions: (1) You can control it via a mobile app, selecting modes like simultaneous vacuuming and mopping, vacuuming first then mopping, vacuuming only, or mopping only. (2) It automatically washes and dries the mop, features a water-saving function, and provides deep cleaning without wasting much water, although it does take a bit longer to dry the mop. (3) It offers voice commands and prompts in multiple languages. (4) After mopping for 25 or 30 minutes, it returns to the base station to wash the mop before continuing its work, ensuring the floor stays clean. There are many other excellent features that I won’t list here, but the app provides clear instructions. Overall, this robot is impressive!

To earn that fifth star, better instructions are essential. Users should be advised to block door walls with throw pillows or folded boxes during the initial mapping. Otherwise, the T30s may mistakenly identify the area outside the door as a separate room, creating a “ghost room” that it attempts to access. This issue also occurs with mirrored door walls. Once the mapping is completed correctly, you can set up virtual walls and designated areas that the T30s will avoid without any problems. It operates efficiently and has good battery optimization. However, fine-tuning the map and the process for separating and joining rooms needs improvement. Sometimes, two distinct rooms behave as though they are one and can’t be merged, while other rooms can’t be joined at all. Scheduled cleaning functions well, as does programmed cleaning.
A more effective method for saving maps by name to a recoverable location is necessary. It can take hours to fine-tune maps without assurance that a saved version can be retrieved. Fortunately, I have never lost a completed map, but having the option to create a named backup would be beneficial.
The speaker volume also needs improvement; I struggle to hear the T30s’ responses to commands. The Amazon Echo skill does not recognize custom room names.
If you want clean floors, buy this product (five stars). Even on standard speed and mopping settings, I haven’t needed to use the extended cleaning options. It becomes very reliable once you fine-tune and edit the mapping. Five stars for value! Ecovacs, just a few tweaks to your instructions and mapping software would bring you to five stars! It would also be a fantastic addition to have programming capabilities on Windows 11.

I am absolutely thrilled with this amazing floor cleaning robot! I have hardwood floors throughout my home, including the kitchen, along with a few large rugs, and my master bath features white tile. Plus, I share my space with two cats that shed continuously, making floor maintenance a real challenge before I got the Deebot.
The initial setup was a bit tricky due to the sparse manual that came with the robot. I was confused when it seemed to wander aimlessly around the house without vacuuming or mopping. It turned out it was attempting to map the floor plan, something it would have done quickly and efficiently if I hadn’t interrupted it by sending it back to the charging station. After that, it refused to clean, claiming it couldn’t locate the area. A quick call to tech support (which was answered right away!) helped me delete the saved floor plan and re-map the house. The robot has an ultrasound sensor on top, allowing it to map the rooms rapidly and accurately—it finished an entire floor in just about 15 minutes.
Now, I can designate a cleaning zone on the map it created, and it wakes up, fills itself with cleaning solution (just tap water mixed with a bit of floor cleaner), and gets to work. The vacuum section is at the front, while two spinning microfiber mops are at the back. I set it to medium-high vacuum and low water delivery, and it’s incredible to watch it clean thoroughly, picking up crumbs and cat hair flawlessly. There are no streaks at all—I couldn’t believe my eyes! Plus, it really does lift the mops when it cleans the rugs, vacuuming them effectively too. However, I would caution that this feature might not perform well on shag or high-pile carpets.
When the cleaning solution runs low or when it needs to recharge, the robot returns to its base to refill and recharge as necessary. Once it completes the cleaning zone, it heads back to the base, where the dust bin is emptied, and the mops are washed in hot cleaning solution before being dried with a gentle airflow for about half an hour.
I am completely in love with this robot! My floors are now so clean and shiny, and all I have to do is move the dining chairs onto the table before starting it.
